Though often referred to as "twin" towers, these are more like fraternal twins than identical twins. The Saint Luke's towers rise along the banks of the Sumidagawa River. Their location provides excellent views of Tokyo and Tokyo Bay.

St. Luke's Gardens' signature element is its skybridge. Linking the two buildings at the 32nd floor, it makes the landmark instantly identifiable. It is also uniquely earthquake-proofed by constructing the bridge out of a number of individual, overlapping sections that allow the bridge to expand and contract as the building sway in a tremor.

In design, the building is understated -- with a plain, flat facade of a grayish brown color. Toward the top, there are a few setbacks, and the corners of the buildings are stepped to provide a few vertical channels, but nothing over the top. A nice element, however, is the glass pyramid that creates an atrium linking the two towers. This is topped by an illuminated by an illuminated spire.
